How much do you charge for a moving estimate?

Zero dollars!  We will provide you with an estimate that is true and holds for 30 days.  There is no obligation and Mountain Movers Inc. understands someone wanting to get some estimates and costs – but be aware, many companies will give you a cost estimate but they will change the actual cost on your moving day!  Be aware of these types of estimates done online without actually talking with you to discuss the specifics.

Are there any extra fees I need to be aware of?

No there will never be any extra fees!  What makes Mountain Movers Inc. unique is we truly care about every customer and treat others as we would want to be treated and that means fair, honest and fully transparent!  

How do you determine the cost

Another unique aspect with Mountain Movers Inc. is I have been moving families for decades and understand the amount of items boxes, totes, furniture and how those items stack within a truck.  Some moving companies want to quote you by weight.  Why weight can be a factor in “some” estimates if something is unusually large or heavy and perhaps many stairs are involved, it requires some additional tools of the trade and logistics.  What does that mean you wonder?  Well sometimes overly heavy items can be a risk to tile floor in your home and tile can crack, some moving companies could care less about those aspects and just want to do “a job.”  Moving isn’t just a job for us.  We show advance thought, care and consideration to every item you are moving, the environment and house being care for during the move on both ends.

Do you offering packing services

If you have moved before then you certainly know that packaging materials can start to add up in cost quickly.  Mountain Movers Inc. offers packing services and why is it more cost effective overall?  Because we can obtain our packing materials as a bulk discounted cost which in turn actually saves you money.  Packing can take time to do properly.  This is why the advanced logistics are so very valuable and important.  That’s what we do at Mountain Movers, advanced logistical planning with thought. 

Sometimes the packing end of the move is whereby a customers may just need our assist not the full packing service.  See our services as you can select the plan and bundle that is right for your move!

Do I have to be there onsite on moving day?

Absolutely not.  We will meet before your move and have confirmations of your schedule moving date.  We can arrange logistics of accessing the property at that time.  Additionally we can provide expanded services further simplifying your moving experience. 

How is payment rendered

Mountain Movers Inc. requires a small deposit for your scheduled moving project.  This is so we hold that date or dates open on our calendar.  Payment can be made via check, cash, credit card or various other convenient common cash apps. 

What if my house sale is delayed and I need to change my moving date

Not a problem. We understand how things change and progress when selling a property or moving from a property to a new location.  Flexibility is one of our key traits, unlike many other moving companies.  All we ask is you give us a minimum of 3 business days of advanced notice of a move date change. We will apply your deposit to the new schedule date.  If you can’t give a minimum of 3 business days for a change in date we may be able to work with that depending on our bookings or you may lose the deposit and need to apply a new deposit. All aspects we strive to work with you on!

Label EVERYTHING!  In fact ideally label more than one side of a box. The more detail you can add to your label the easier you will make it to determine where a given box or plastic tote etc. needs to be placed in the new location and easier when you have to unpack and find things. 

Declutter as you go.  As you pack your items or prepare for a move it is the optimal time to declutter things.  Have items you don’t want to move and need removed or hauled away.  We offers various services to provide our customers ease with One Stop Moving needs.  

Have some zip lock bags handy to place any small misc. parts and pieces.  Take pictures of your electronic equipment before disconnecting to help provide ease reconnecting them.  Mountain Movers Inc. can provide service to remove things that need to be disassembled and we maintain all the little parts and pieces together in a labeled zip lock.  Just another special touch we provide all our customers.
